Portland, Oregon - Senior Employment Litigation Attorney
The Portland, Oregon office of Fisher Phillips seeks a Senior Associate or Of Counsel attorney with 7+ year of experience to join our Employment Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney looking to take on meaningful responsibility, work closely with accomplished partners, and continue building a sophisticated employment law practice. We are looking for an attorney who thrives in a hybrid work environment, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, and is motivated to continue growing professionally while contributing to the success of our clients and colleagues.
The ideal candidate will have a strong employment litigation background. Experience handling class and collective actions is preferred, but we also encourage candidates without substantial class action experience to apply.
In this role, you will handle litigation matters from start to finish, including:
- Developing case strategy and advising clients on litigation risk
- Drafting and responding to pleadings and motions
- Managing discovery
- Taking and defending depositions
- Arguing motions
- Participating in mediations
- Preparing cases for trial
Candidates must have strong academic credentials, excellent writing and analytical skills, and the judgment and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced practice. Admission to the Oregon Bar and a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school are required.
