Real Estate, Title & Survey Senior Attorney
The Real Estate team is seeking an experienced Title & Survey Senior Attorney with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, preferably gained in a large law firm or national title company. This individual will serve as a key resource to the firm's Real Estate practice, managing and coordinating title and survey review for complex commercial real estate transactions across the firm. The successful candidate will work closely with partners, associates, paralegals, title companies, surveyors, and borrower’s counsel to identify and resolve title and survey issues, facilitate transaction execution, and support successful closings.
Key Responsibilities Include:
∙ Lead and coordinate title and survey review for the firm's Real Estate practice.
∙ Review title commitments and related documents, analyze and summarize title exceptions, and identify legal and commercial issues affecting transactions.
∙ Collaborate with deal attorneys to evaluate title matters and develop practical solutions to resolve or appropriately structure around identified issues.
∙ Manage the title and survey review process across multiple transactions, ensuring timely execution and effective communication among all parties.
∙ Supervise and mentor paralegals responsible for title and survey review, establishing consistent processes and quality standards across the practice.
∙ Serve as a trusted subject matter resource on title insurance and survey matters, advising attorneys on complex issues and emerging best practices.
This is a non-partnership track opportunity and salary will be commensurate with experience. The expected base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $400,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
