One of the ways that we provide such support is by augmenting selected practice groups with a resource attorney whose overarching responsibility is to enhance our marketing and business development efforts, strengthen the creation and sharing of substantive know-how, and enable our practicing attorneys to be more informed, efficient and successful. This attorney will not work directly for firm clients and therefore will not bill time. Position Responsibilities: Among the tasks for which the Capital Markets resource attorney will be responsible are:Keeping current on all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Capital Markets practice groupDeveloping topics for and assisting in the preparation and maintenance of client alerts, white papers and external-facing tools and resources Developing and maintaining internal practice resources that will enhance the exchange of know-how within the Capital Markets practice group and facilitate interaction with clients and prospective clientsCreating, maintaining and updating archives of work product and know-how within the Capital Markets practice groupAssisting with coordination of speaking arrangements, webinars and materialsMaintaining and updating forms and templates as appropriate for the Capital Markets practice group, and ensuring forms reflect current legal developments, industry-accepted terms and input from attorneys within the practice groupWorking with our Marketing department to formulate and execute on our Capital Markets branding and presence Collecting and providing information to the Marketing department to assist that team with responses to RFPs and other opportunities for business developmentCoordinating with Professional Development to ensure and enhance the skills development of members of the Capital Markets practice group and firmwide training Coordinating with Information Services and Practice Innovation to assess available technologies and to develop, test and support adoption of new solutions that can be used to leverage efficiencies within the practice group, as well as the delivery of services by the Capital Markets practice group Skills & Experience: The Capital Markets resource attorney must be a licensed attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the practice of representing issuers and investment banks in capital markets transactions, as well as a strong understanding of corporate governance and SEC reporting requirements and related matters.Success Factors: A successful resource attorney will possess and demonstrate many, if not all, of the following attributes: Mastery of the substantive area of practice undertaken by the capital markets practice group, with enthusiasm to learn as the practice, regulatory environment and technology evolveTeam playerKnowledge of the industries that the practice group regularly advises, particularly technology and life sciencesExcellent written and verbal communication and drafting skillsConfident and engaging presenterStrong intellectual ability, judgment, interpersonal and technical skills Self-starterOrganizational and time management skills; attention to detail The expected annual pay range for this position is $220,000 - $315,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
