This position can be filled in any U.S. market where the Firm maintains an office, subject to business needs and candidate qualifications. Greenberg Traurig’s Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice comprises of more than 80 attorneys throughout the United States and in Latin America, Europe and Asia. Our department’s global platform distinctively positions us to address the needs of both domestic and international clients. We continue to build on a practice base that, while very broad, is nonetheless refined to serve the unique industry, practice, and jurisdictional needs of our diverse client base.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 7 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience working with banks, fintech companies, money services businesses and virtual currency payment platforms. Experience advising institutions on regulatory matters such as licensing/chartering, new product development, acquisitions, mergers, divestures, bank partnership models, third-party risk management and oversight issues is critical. Knowledge of key financial services laws and regulations such as BSA/AML, BHCA, IBA, Reg Y, Reg K, CRA, Volcker Rule, capital and liquidity risk management, and consumer protection law is sought. Experience representing clients before U.S. federal regulators such as the Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, FinCEN and state authorities is critical. Enforcement experience is a plus. 

We are seeking candidates who possess a strong academic background and excellent legal research, analysis and writing skills, with strong attention to detail.  Candidates must be willing to take on significant responsibility, have a strong commitment to client service and be diligent, proactive and team-oriented.  Candidates must be admitted to or eligible for admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

The expected pay range for this position is:

$260,000 - 365,000 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.  Additional voluntary programs include:  voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
