POSITION SUMMARY:
Spencer Fane is looking for a junior- to mid-level Associate to join our Salt Lake City, UT, office to focus on water law within our Environment and Energy practice group. This position will involve significant work in all aspects of Utah water, including water rights administrative proceedings, litigation (including general adjudication), water rights transactions, water-related construction projects, real property disputes (including easements), special district and irrigation company governance, and condemnation. It additionally includes the opportunity for land use and zoning work (government). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and a demonstrated interest in these areas.

The below qualifications are required:
- Juris Doctorate degree from accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
- Admission to the Utah state bar
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods while performing administrative duties.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs for filing, document handling, or office materials.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions, including typing, filing, and scanning.
- Occasional bending, reaching, and handling of office equipment.

Adequate visual and auditory ability to accurately review legal documents, read computer screens, printed materials, and communicate effectively.
