Responsibilities

The New York office of Epstein Becker & Green is seeking an attorney to work at the level of a senior associate to join its national management-side labor and employment practice.Candidates should have a minimum of five years of relevant labor and employment litigation experience. This position requires knowledge of federal and state labor & employment laws (e.g., Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, trade secret law and similar state laws). The ideal candidate should have experience managing the day to day responsibilities of running a case such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs, conducting and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances. Experience providing advice and counsel on workplace law issues, including wage and hour, employee relations, mitigation of risk, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies is also beneficial but not required. Candidates must possess strong academic credentials and have excellent communication and writing skills. Admission to practice law in New York (state and federal courts) is mandatory.

Qualifications

The compensation range for this position is $275,000 - $310,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered. In addition to the base salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
