Sheppard, an AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking an associate (4-8 years) to join our Finance Practice Group in Dallas.

The Finance Practice Group advises financial institutions, private credit funds, and private equity sponsors on a wide range of complex finance transactions. This role offers direct client contact and substantial opportunities for business development, along with exceptional training and career development and a clear path.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  • Executing finance transactions, including acquisition financings

  • Drafting and negotiating credit agreements and related closing documentation

  • Lender side and/or borrower side leveraged finance experience is a plus

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • 4-8 years of experience working on varied finance transactions

The annual salary range for this position is $310,000 - $435,000.

Candidates with eight (8) or more years of relevant experience may be considered at the Special Counsel level, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
