Litigation Attorney - California

Job Description Our law firm is looking to add an experienced Litigation Attorney to support the firm’s California practice. The Litigation Attorney will handle a range of civil litigation matters, assist with foreclosure-related litigation, prepare and review pleadings, appear in court as needed, and work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to move matters efficiently toward resolution. Practical knowledge of navigating California courts is required. Experience with creditors’ rights, including foreclosure, real estate, or related litigation, is preferred. License to practice law in California required.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

· Handle civil litigation matters in California courts, including foreclosure-related litigation and other creditor-related disputes.

· Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, declarations, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents.

· Monitor case progress, evaluate legal and procedural issues, and develop practical strategies to move matters efficiently toward resolution.

· Appear in court, attend hearings, communicate with clients and opposing counsel, and assist with case strategy as needed.

Experience:

· Civil litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, motion practice, court appearances, case analysis, and client communication.

· Practical knowledge of California court procedures, local rules, filing requirements, hearing practice, and civil litigation workflows.

· Experience with creditors’ rights, foreclosure, real estate litigation, or related financial services litigation preferred.

· Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.

· Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity in all client, court, and internal interactions.

· Apply strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to support effective case handling and timely matter resolution.

· Proficiency with legal technology, case management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other general office tools.

· Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively through verbal, written, and electronic correspondence.

Required Education and Training

· Bachelor’s Degree required

· J.D. from an accredited law school

· Membership in the California Bar
