Position Summary
The Legal Operations Team Lead supervises a team of Attorney Resource Group specialists while providing hands-on legal support across all Firm offices. This fast-paced, high-volume role requires strong multitasking, composure under pressure, and deep law firm experience — including federal/state filing expertise and proven people management skills.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, assign, and review specialists' work; provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback
  • Manage high-volume workload distribution and shifting priorities across offices; hand off work with clear instructions
  • Support adoption of new technology to improve efficiency and quality

Court Filing & Service of Process

  • Prepare and oversee state/federal court filings, e-filing, and service of process per jurisdictional rules
  • Manage federal filings via PACER/CM-ECF, including docket monitoring and deadline tracking
  • Coordinate hearing reservations with courts and attorney calendars

Legal Document Support

  • Create, edit, format, and proofread legal documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Respond promptly to multiple concurrent attorney requests; manage high-volume workflows and scheduling
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3+ years law firm experience (high-volume litigation preferred)
  • 3+ years supervising/leading a team
  • Demonstrated expertise in state/federal filing, e-filing, and service of process
  • Working knowledge of FRCP and applicable state civil procedure rules
  • Hands-on PACER/CM-ECF experience
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to juggle high-volume, competing deadlines under pressure
  • BA preferred; paralegal certificate a plus
