Capital Markets Associate
Katten, a global Am Law 100 law firm, seeks a highly qualified associate to join its Capital Markets Practice Group within the Corporate Department.
Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of public securities and general corporate work experience at a nationally recognized law firm. Candidates should have specific experience:
Representing public and private companies, investment banks and/or investors with respect to securities offerings, 1934 Exchange Act reporting and compliance, and corporate governance.
Drafting and participating in negotiation of key legal documents for corporate and securities transactions, such as registration statements and offering memoranda, registration rights agreements, and stock purchase and subscription agreements.
Experience working on matters/transactions involving non-U.S. companies and/or strategic transactions for public companies (e.g., mergers and “going private” transactions) a plus.
Excellent academic credentials, strong drafting, analytical and writing skills, and a client-team focused approach is a must. Qualified applicants should include a resume and copy of law school transcript with their application.
The estimated salary range for this role is $225,000 - $420,000. Salary determinations are based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to class and graduation year, job history, and experience within the desired practice area of the selected candidate.
