Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is seeking a Labor & Employment Junior Associate Attorney with at least 2-4 years of experience to join our Houston office. Please note: This role is not currently open to search firm submissions. If you are a search firm agent, you may not submit candidates for this role. Our attorneys advise employers of all sizes—ranging from Fortune 100 companies to start-ups—in all aspects of employment and business-to-business disputes and litigation, investigations, advice and counseling, international employment and mobility, corporate diligence, and drafting employment and restrictive covenant agreements. We have considerable expertise in all matters affecting the workplace including restrictive covenants, trade secrets, agreement drafting, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, employment agreements, wage and hour and mass layoffs. The strength and depth of our practice is rooted in our ability to provide truly full-service labor and employment services. We are currently recruiting for an outstanding associate with at least 2 to 4 years of employment, commercial and/or other complex litigation experience. The ideal candidate should excel in the following areas: Stellar writing skills Efficient and strong researching skills Knowledge of court filing procedures Conducting complex fact investigation and analysis Attention to detail Ability to prioritize and multi-task various assignments and deadlines Resume, cover letter, writing sample (an original draft rather than a professor- and/or law partner-edited version) and law school transcript are required to apply. Candidates must have strong academic background, high grades, strong work ethic and be admitted to and a member in good standing of the Texas Bar. Federal clerkship experience is a plus. The annual salary range for this position is $235,000 to $310,000.
