Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney (New York or Orange County)

Sheppard is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join our Real Estate Finance team. This position is open to both Orange County and New York candidates. The Finance practice of Sheppard has been a key element of the firm's practice since its founding over 90 years ago. As part of a large, broad-based commercial law firm, our commercial lending and financial transactions team is comprised of attorneys specializing in all facets of highly structured financial transactions. We bring a team of fully engaged advisors with the legal and practical problem-solving skills necessary to execute the most complex of financial transactions. Our Orange County office seeks an associate attorney with 4–6 years of experience representing lenders on construction, bridge, and permanent loans at a national or regional law firm. The ideal candidate will have significant lender-side experience drafting and negotiating mortgage loan documents and conducting associated real estate and entity due diligence. The ability to work with other team members and clients, and "take ownership" of projects, is essential. Top academic credentials and outstanding writing skills are required.
