RALEIGH: Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout The Carolinas. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic; exceptional time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent client communications and service; proficient technology skills, including, but not limited to, MS Office Suite and general online research; and meticulous attention to detail with strong proofreading skills. The paralegal must be able to work independently, collaborating with team members as needed. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the Firm in real estate client matters; creating, proofing, editing and revising correspondence and legal documents; closing transactions; conducting title examinations; traveling to various courthouses in North Carolina; recording and filing necessary instruments; maintaining files; monitoring the progress of open real estate matters; and, following up to ensure all required actions are completed in a timely manner. Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's Degree from a Paralegal Technology Program through the American Bar Association and three years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal or similar position. Experience may substitute for education. After an initial training period, candidates are eligible for a flexible workplace schedule of up to two days working from home with the understanding that clients' needs will take priority. We are offering a generous sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 to direct hires for this position.
