AM Law 200 Firm, Honigman LLP, is seeking a recent law school graduate who is interested in a career in real estate law to join our real estate department as an Associate in the Fall of 2026 in our Chicago or Michigan offices. POSITION SUMMARY, RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Honigman’s real estate attorneys serve local and national real estate clients with respect to real estate transactions throughout the U.S. and internationally. Our experience includes development, acquisition, disposition, financing, and leasing of some of the country’s most vibrant downtown projects, most luxurious shopping centers, and most successful hotels and mixed-use projects. Additionally, we represent numerous clients in connection with office, industrial, manufactured and multifamily home, and self-storage projects across the U.S. Our clients entrust us to handle their most complex matters with the most up-to-date technology and to operate under the most accelerated time frames with unmatched efficiency and attention to detail. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver high quality work-product and effectively communicate at all levels of Honigman and its clients; Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and high energy and enthusiasm for counseling in the relevant client sector; Exhibit highly responsive, creative and efficient work habits; Strive to continuously improve knowledge, skills and abilities and seek guidance and feedback to improve performance and productivity; Take responsibility for enhancing expertise, in addition to seeking out formal and informal training; Integrate into the practice and build strong relationships with clients and within Honigman; and Demonstrate a long-term interest in networking with existing clients and developing business opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS Recent law school graduate with a graduation date of spring 2026; Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under significant time constraints; Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills required; Ability to travel as client needs require. Interested applicants should submit a resume, cover letter, and law school transcript. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The starting salary for a first-year associate at Honigman is $225,000. Entry-level associates typically join Honigman in September of their law school graduation year and for that partial year (September – December). Associates are also eligible for consideration for a year-end bonus.
