SUMMARY : The eDiscovery Staff Attorney serves as the primary point of contact to our clients and attorneys on matters related to eDiscovery technology. They should have an in-depth knowledge of the entire EDRM spectrum, including the ability to consult on collections and forensics issues, search terms, active learning, structured analytics, review workflows, and production. They should have the management skills to provide effective mentoring to junior team members on a regular basis. Primarily, the eDiscovery Staff Attorney ensures world class client service from case inception to completion. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Consulting with legal teams and firm clients throughout the electronic discovery process, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, data analysis, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI) and recommending appropriate solutions related to these processes. Performing eDiscovery-related document review and QC, including privilege log review. Performing other eDiscovery projects assigned by litigation case team, including advising on drafts, and reviewing ESI review protocols. Leveraging process and technology expertise to design and deploy the most appropriate solution for a given project. Responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating project timelines and budgets. Responsible for project-level reporting on metrics and deliverables. Participating in and leading eDiscovery education, including technical and substantive training for legal teams, clients, and firm colleagues. Maintaining current expertise and certification with relevant eDiscovery tools and providing recommendations and support for each. Managing eDiscovery vendors, including advising on vendor selection, coordinating vendor contacts, and overseeing vendor deliverables. Facilitating the invoice process, including review of client invoices for accuracy. wi preparations for Rule 26(f) conferences, including technical review of eDiscovery Plans. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Qualifications: JD from an accredited institution Experience performing legal document review 4+ years of project management experience at a vendor or law firm, preferably a law firm 5+ years of Relativity experience RCA, ACEDS Preferred Ability to be on-site in NYC at least 3 days each week Skills: Expert-level knowledge and practical experience with eDiscovery-related products and applications, including Cellebrite, Message Crawler, Relativity, Brainspace (Reveal), LAW, Nuix, Blackout, Veritone and others; High-level knowledge of eDiscovery-related analytics offerings and processes, including RAL, CMML, TAR and the ability to consult with clients and legal teams on use cases and practical application of each; Experience with regulatory productions, including to the DOJ and SEC; Superior written and oral communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical requirements into simple concepts, tailored for varied audiences; Strong issue-spotting and problem-solving skills with the experience and ability to offer repeatable, defensible and practical solutions; Excellent organization skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments; Competencies: High aptitude for delivering in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines; The ability to handle stress with poise and to be demonstrate leadership management skills when required; The ability to collaborate on process improvements and affidavit-quality documentation efforts and to implement; Commitment to continuous professional development, including training and certifications in eDiscovery tools and methodologies; Superior attention to detail; High EQ ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of three (3) days per week in the office. The Firm reserves the right to require additional in‑office days, up to and including full‑time in‑office presence, as business needs require. The starting base salary range is $145K-$175K, plus competitive benefits and bonus eligibility. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
