Conflicts Attorney
The Conflicts Attorney plays a critical role in safeguarding the Firm’s ethical integrity by identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflicts of interest related to new client and matter intake across all offices and jurisdictions. This role also supports the onboarding of incoming legal personnel Firmwide and is responsible for drafting conflict waivers as needed. The position reports directly to the General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough conflict checks and assist in the resolution and clearance of conflicts related to new business and lateral hires
- Collaborate with Firm partners and the General Counsel to facilitate timely conflict clearance and approvals
- Draft conflict waivers and maintain the Firm’s conflict waiver template repository
- Review client Outside Counsel Guidelines and support Firm compliance efforts
- Implement ethical walls as necessary to protect client confidentiality and manage conflicts
- Train new Conflicts Analysts and Conflicts Attorneys on the Rules of Professional Conduct
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Firm’s risk management initiatives
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a mid-size or large law firm required
- Deep understanding of the Rules of Professional Conduct governing conflicts across multiple jurisdictions
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex conflict scenarios in a law firm setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time-sensitive projects independently in a fast-paced, multi-office environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys and staff across the Firm
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Education & Experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution required
- Active admission to a state bar in good standing
- Minimum of two years’ experience in legal conflict analysis and resolution within the Conflicts Department of a mid-size to large law firm
Hybrid Hours
Minimum 3 days a week in office, 2 days a week remotely

The annualized salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
