Position Overview
We are seeking a senior real estate attorney who is committed to excellent and ethical lawyering and will contribute to the diversity and success of our firm, as well as to the legal profession and our greater community. This is a unique opportunity to join a sophisticated real estate practice and work in a dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere while enjoying the benefits of a smaller law firm.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior partners on complex, high-value matters, including large-scale commercial leasing portfolios, institutional landlord/tenant representation, and transformative public-private development projects.
The successful candidate will be expected to integrate into a multidisciplinary practice that bridges private commercial real estate transactions with public-sector and community-oriented development initiatives, including infrastructure, mixed-use, and civic projects.
Responsibilities
This job requires the lawyer to assume responsibility for a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis on commercial leasing. - Representing institutional landlords and tenants in complex commercial leasing transactions across asset classes.
- Advising clients on large leasing portfolios and multi-property asset strategies.
- Leading transactions involving acquisition, disposition, financing, and development of real estate assets.
- Drafting and negotiating ground leases, easements, development agreements, and construction contracts.
- Collaborating on public-private partnership (P3) and community focused development projects.
- Providing strategic counsel on complex projects involving regulatory and stakeholder coordination.
- Supporting infrastructure, civic, and mixed-use developments involving public and private funding.
- Mentoring junior attorneys and contributing to practice growth.
- Ten or more years of commercial real estate experience preferred.
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent analytical, writing, and legal research skills.
- Strong commitment to client service.
- Membership in the Washington State Bar Association (or eligibility for membership)
Salary Range
$215,000 - $300,000 annually depending on experience.
Other Compensation
Other compensation may include bonuses, profit sharing, and HSA employer contributions.
