Billing Associate

Seeking a multifaceted candidate who will work on billing and accounting matters, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and consumer communications.


The role is responsible for managing recurring client billing, handling incoming client and borrower inquiries related to their loans, preparing financial quotes in response to those inquiries, and communicating directly with lenders to resolve questions. The position also provides broader operational support to the business unit for these processes. This role supports the accounting team, however the position will also require regular coordination with multiple internal departments and teams. We seek a highly capable and motivated individual who is prepared to contribute to a growing and evolving organization. This is a full-time, in-office position in Downtown Long Beach, CA, with standard business hours, Monday through Friday.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Routine and monthly billing to clients within service level agreement timelines
  • Communicating with borrowers and their agents regarding quotes, drafting said quotes, and updating the internal systems regarding the process
  • Communicating with lenders regarding financials and billing of these processes
  • Processing incoming funds. Communicating with clients and third parties regarding these funds. Sending incoming funds out to clients timely
  • Reviewing final sale funds results, requesting the necessary checks for all parties, and sending the funds to the required parties
  • Ensuring timely, courteous, and thorough responses to a high volume of email correspondence
  • Maintaining congenial relationships with business associates, borrowers, and lenders
  • Providing exceptional customer service to borrowers and clients at every level of interaction, including timely status updates and follow-up on outstanding documents and/or services
  • Consistently and accurately update the firm’s internal case management system, as well as all lender systems
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma. Associate’s degree or above preferred
  • Billing and check processing experience preferred
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrowers, lenders attorneys, other internal employees, and outside parties
  • Must be able to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner.
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills; the position requires the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to continual change
  • Ability to read and write at a high level for proof reading and editing purposes
  • High-level proficiency in MS Office suite; Outlook, Teams, and especially Excel
