Job Description:

Counsel clients in the healthcare and life-sciences industries. Represent clients in investigations by the following: State Attorneys General, Department of Justice, FINRA, SEC, FTC, and Senate and House Congressional Committees. Negotiate mergers and acquisitions of health care facilities and medical device companies, structuring joint ventures and other affiliations, and drafting practice management and purchase agreements. Counsel clients with respect to their compliance with the following laws: the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Affordable Care Act, Medicare/Medicaid laws, the False Claims Act, the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Sherman Act, the Hart-Scott Rodino Act, and state corporate practice of medicine and fee-splitting laws. Experience must include: Researching issues related to healthcare and fraud abuse laws; Brief-writing at the Federal District and Circuit Court of Appeals Court level. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.

Job Requirements:

Requirements: Employer will accept Juris Doctor degree or LLM degree from an Accredited US Law School; and 1 year of work experience in job offered or 1 year of work experience in a related occupation. Experience must include: 1) Researching issues related to healthcare and fraud abuse laws; 2) Brief-writing at the Federal District and Circuit Court of Appeals Court level. Candidates must be developmentally on track, and all resumes must be submitted with a transcript to be considered. Applicants must have or be able to obtain New York bar admission within one year of starting employment. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
